Related California Launches Leasing for Felix

The New Residential Building Combines Modern Amenities with the Local Charm of Downtown Santa Rosa

Today, Related California unveiled Felix, an 8-story residential development in the heart of Downtown Santa Rosa. With move-ins starting May 2025, Felix presents 168 apartments that offer a fresh take on Santa Rosa living, bringing thoughtful design, contemporary residences and social amenities together in the city’s most charming, walkable location.

“Felix represents the unique opportunity to live the dynamic, modern lifestyle that comes with calling Downtown Santa Rosa home in a thoughtfully designed setting tailored to resident needs,” said Matthew Keipper, Senior Vice President at Related California. “We are extremely proud to welcome residents to these beautiful homes and add an iconic structure to Santa Rosa’s core. Felix embodies Downtown Santa Rosa’s momentum, the center of a city that will continue to flourish for years to come.”

Felix is located in Downtown Santa Rosa within walking distance to Old Courthouse Square and a vibrant collection of restaurants, wineries, breweries, salons, and shops along Fourth Street and in Railroad Square. The coveted neighborhood is well-served by public transportation, and offers a prime location near outdoor green spaces, cultural institutions and event venues.

Designed by the acclaimed David Baker Architects, Felix boasts forward-thinking amenities to elevate residents’ lifestyles, offering style and convenience including:

  • The ground floor, double height co-working lounge allows for abundant natural light and provides multiple seating options with work pods centered around a statement fireplace.
  • State-of-the-art fitness center with a reservable studio, and wellness lounge with cedar wood sauna, and private steam shower rooms.
  • The 8th floor Sky Lounge set against breathtaking views over Santa Rosa and across the Sonoma Mountains with demonstration kitchen, indoor-outdoor dining areas, BBQs and rooftop firepit.
  • Landscaped courtyard, on-site parking with EV charging, secure bike storage, complimentary Wi-Fi in common areas, package delivery lockers, and more.

“The design melds a high-end urban experience with a small-town, friendly feeling, reinforcing a focused residential downtown with gentle density and dynamic pedestrian edges. We made it responsive to the site, the great walkable downtown, the surrounding hills, and the future of the city,” said David Baker, FAIA, Principal of David Baker Architects. “We created a refined casual atmosphere through a curated collage of rich, earthy textures and tones. I was honored to personally make a ceramic sculpture for the lobby, a seven-foot totem of giant stacked 'seed pods'. Thinking about the fertile Sonoma area, we wanted to reflect ideas around seeds—optimistic, vital, burgeoning, putting down roots, and supporting new growth."

Felix offers a selection of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residences, featuring expansive windows for an abundance of natural light, window shades, and wide-plank flooring throughout. The apartments include LG washers and dryers, Amazon smart thermostats with heating and air conditioning, and keyless entry. The open kitchens are designed with custom cabinetry, quartz counters with a full height tiled backsplash, undercabinet lighting, and soft-close drawers, and feature Blomberg stainless-steel appliances. Serene bathrooms are complete with custom white-oak style vanities with quartz counters, mirrors with integrated lighting, bathtub with ceramic tile surround and glass door shower, and Kohler chrome fixtures.

Available studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments are priced starting at $2,360. For more information, visit www.felixliving.com [felixliving.com].
