The Hollywood Reporter and Related Companies collaborate to present ‘THR Design Hollywood at The Century' showhouse

Custom showhouse will feature décor by 10 preeminent designers that will be included in The Hollywood Reporter’s first-ever home issue and 'Top Interior Designers in Hollywood' list

The Hollywood Reporter and Related Companies, the nation’s most prominent real estate firm, are partnering to present THR Design Hollywood at The Century, a sophisticated designer showhouse benefitting the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at The Century in Century City, CA. The showhouse coincides with the publication of THR’s first-ever Home Issue and "Top Interior Designers in Hollywood” list. THR Design Hollywood at The Century will feature the work of leading interior designers and architects including; Joan Behnke, Tim Clarke, Waldo Fernandez, Trip Haenisch, Jane Hallworth, Kathryn M. Ireland, Todd Nickey & Amy Kehoe of Nickey/Kehoe, David Phoenix and Marmol Radziner and Associates, as well as Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the world-renowned firm behind The Century.

The Hollywood-inspired showhouse takes place in two grand residences on the 20th floor of the 42-story residential masterpiece, each with its own private elevator vestibule and breathtaking panoramic views that stretch from downtown Los Angeles, across the Hollywood Hills to the Pacific Ocean. Each room in the residence will let the visitor imagine they are stepping into the private space of a quintessential Hollywood icon such as an ingénue, screenwriter, high-powered director or A-list actor. On October 24, a VIP event will kick off the THR Design Hollywood at The Century with honorary co-chairs, Janice Min, THR editorial director, and Wallis Annenberg, philanthropist. Noted chef and restaurateur, David Myers, will be the official caterer of the evening and will provide guests with an exclusive preview of the dishes to come from his upcoming restaurant opening at The Century in December 2012.

“Related is known globally for its commitment to great architecture and design and THR Design Hollywood at The Century serves as an extension of this commitment, marking Related’s first west coast showhouse collaboration,” said Alicia Goldstein, senior vice president at Related Companies. “It was a natural fit to partner with The Hollywood Reporter, a Hollywood institution and preeminent lifestyle publication, to provide a behind-the-scenes look at how residents live at Los Angeles’ premier residential building, and showcase the work of an unrivaled collection of Hollywood’s highest echelon of interior designers. Related is immensely proud of the collaboration and our legacy as a supporter of the arts makes us equally pleased to support the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts through this designer showhouse.”

THR Design Hollywood at The Century marks the launch of THR's first-ever Home Issue, which unveils THR's "Top Interior Designers in Hollywood" list as well as market reports, in-depth features, and rich interior and exterior photography of the multi-million dollar real estate purchases and decorating secrets of Hollywood's moguls and A-listers. “Covering the lifestyle of Hollywood is essential to the THR perspective,” said THR culture editor Degen Pener, who brought together the esteemed group of designers and architects participating in the showhouse. “Los Angeles is not only one of the most glamorous cities in the world when it comes to residential design but it also serves as home to a uniquely creative community of designers. We're proud to partner with Related, renowned for its unparalleled dedication to superior design and architecture, and to welcome a select group of L.A.'s A-list designers as they create what will be a must-see showhouse at the elegant residential tower, The Century.”

Bram Goldsmith, chairman of the Annenberg Center’s board of directors and chairman of the board of City National Corporation, said, “We applaud The Hollywood Reporter and Related Companies for their commitment to supporting the arts in Los Angeles. Being the beneficiary of this extraordinary event is an honor. The proceeds from the showhouse will be so appreciated in our campaign to preserve the treasured Post Office and build a new arts destination in Beverly Hills.” The showhouse, located at One Century Drive, will be open to the public on Fridays 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. from Friday, October 26 – Sunday, November 18. Admission is $40 and all ticket sales will benefit the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, a new performing arts center in the historic Beverly Hills Post Office. Complimentary parking will be available at The Century.
