Completed in 2004, Pueblo del Sol is a mixed-use, mixed-income community of 375 affordable apartments and 93 for sale single-family homes located in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of East Los Angeles. A public-private partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), McCormack Baron Salazar, Sun America Affordable Housing Partners and the Los Angeles Unified School District, this 35-acre distressed public housing site, formerly known as Aliso Village, was the largest public housing revitalization in California. Today, Pueblo del Sol is an affordable, sustainable living environment with an elementary school, high school, community center with exercise rooms, swimming pool, a 1.5 acre park, several large tot lot/play areas, and an on-site social services center providing job training, after school programs and computer classes.

In 2023, Related and HACLA completed the resyndication and renovation of phases I and II.  The renovation included upgrading the residential buildings, community building, community center and community park.  The community park was reconfigured into a children's play area with a refurbished playground for children 5-12 years of age, and a new community garden with 17 planter beds. The new park has two, fenced dog parks, barbeques and seating areas with tables, chairs and lounges.  The community center was enhanced with a new teen room and lounge, kitchen, music room, computer lab, multipurpose room, lobby and public restrooms. The management building was expanded to include a fitness room, multipurpose room, and improved staffing offices.

All 375 apartments, excluding the management units, are 100% affordable for low-income families, individuals and seniors.
