Located on 2.9 acres of vacant infill land overlooking the Chollas Creek, Southwest Village is an 81-unit affordable, transit-oriented development for extremely low and very low-income families, targeting 30% to 60% Area Median Income (AMI.) Sixteen units have been set aside as Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The development is comprised of five (5) residential buildings and one, 4,000 square foot community building that accommodates a multipurpose room with kitchen, property management and social services offices. The amenities include a gated entry, picnic area, and playground. Each residential building is complete with a laundry area, secure bicycle parking and bicycle storage. There are 70 spaces of reserved parking for residents at a neighboring site.

Southwest Village provides a pathway to the creek improvements and the southern portion of the Orange Line Light Rail & Euclid Avenue Transit Center Station. Southwest Village is a key component of an overall Town Center Master Plan that includes the Southeastern Live Well Center and KIPP Adelante Preparatory Academy. The Town Center Master Plan includes mixed-use developments with mixed-income housing and retail, plus open space.
