As Project Manager for Related California, Mr. Heywood is responsible for the management of all aspects of the development process, from design and financial feasibility, through construction completion and stabilization, on a few of Related’s affordable developments located in Northern California.
Mr. Heywood comes to Related with more than 5 years of affordable housing development experience. During his tenure at BRIDGE Housing Corporation, Mr. Heywood secured more than $2.5 billion in project financing for over 3,000 affordable units and managed a $150 million, 178-unit affordable development in San Francisco. At the Urban Land Institute, San Francisco District Council, Mr. Heywood managed the planning, research and implementation of their policy initiatives, worked with ULI senior staff and leadership to coordinate strategic partnerships and special projects, and planned and executed more than 70 educational programs for ULI members.
Mr. Heywood holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from San Francisco State University. He is a graduate of the LISC Advanced Housing Development Training Institute.
