As Vice President of Development for Related California Affordable, Ms. Nguyen oversees the entitlements, design, financing, and construction of many of Related’s affordable housing developments in Northern California while leading the pursuit of new opportunities and partnerships. She is currently overseeing a $700 million+ portfolio of more than 1,000 affordable family and permanent supportive housing units, including Sunnydale HOPE SF, the 50-acre revitalization of San Francisco’s largest public housing community, 85 affordable family housing units at 160 Freelon in San Francisco and 120 affordable family housing units at Lot 12 in Mountain View.
Prior to joining Related, Ms. Nguyen worked for The Community Builders, Inc. in Washington, D.C., where she supported the nonprofit’s public housing revitalization efforts, including Park Morton in Washington, D.C.; McCulloh Homes in Baltimore, Maryland; and Creighton Court in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to that, she was a research associate at The Urban Institute in Washington, D.C., specializing in housing discrimination and urban policy.
Ms. Nguyen holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies.
