As Project Coordinator for Related California Affordable, Ms. Becerra is responsible for supporting Northern California’s project management team in all aspects of the design, financing, and construction of more than 500 affordable units throughout Northern California, including the redevelopment of San Francisco’s largest public housing site, Sunnydale-Velasco, a 50-acre site currently home to more than 1,700 people, and 90 units of affordable housing in the Silicon Valley.
Ms. Becerra comes to Related with policy and public service experience. As a policy fellow at the United States Department of Justice, she generated statistical reports analyzing current and proposed government policies and social justice programs for criminal reform, developing strategies for improvement in addition to designing and implementing interdepartmental processes for data collection. At Accountability Counsel, a nonprofit in San Francisco protecting human rights and the environment, Ms. Becerra authored more than 60 summaries and policy briefs analyzing the effects of impact investing on local communities.
Ms. Becerra holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management with a concentration in Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from Middlebury College.
