As Senior Development Associate for Related California, Mr. Tateishi is responsible for supporting and assisting in all aspects of project management including the design, financing, resyndication and construction of more than 400 affordable housing units in both Southern California and Silicon Valley.
Mr. Tateishi brings with him more than 5 years of affordable housing experience and an array of skills within the industry. Prior to joining Related, he was an associate project manager for LINC Housing Corporation where he managed numerous affordable housing developments including preparing financial feasibility studies, preparation of funding applications and assisting with construction finance closings. As a policy manager for the California Housing Partnership, he managed a statewide network of 50 nonprofit developers and public agencies to reposition affordable multifamily housing assets, and analyzed state and local building codes and funding programs and legislative proposals.
Mr. Tateishi holds a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning and Architecture and Environmental Design from California Polytechnic State University. He is a LEED Green Associate.
