As Senior Vice President of Development, Mr. Simsik oversees all aspects of development and financing for Related California's market rate and mixed-income communities throughout the state. He also leads the West Coast development for Related's Senior Living platform, which acquires and develops the luxury senior living brands of Coterie and Ellore.
Since joining Related in 2015, Mr. Simsik has managed over $1 billion in development, including landmark projects such as: The Avery, a 5-story, 548-unit, mixed-use, mixed-income, residential tower in San Francisco; Coterie Cathedral Hill, a 208-unit, luxury, senior living community in San Francisco, and Ellore Santa Clara, a 176-unit, luxury senior living development in Silicon Valley.
Prior to joining Related, Mr. Simsik served eight years as a United States Army Aviation Caption and Chinook helicopter pilot with multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. Simsik holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
